The collection also contains Commercial photographs from the 1920s to the 1970s. Businesses, factories, and examples of daily life in Terre Haute and Vigo County are pictured.

Martin's Photo Shop was established in 1906 by Frank J. Martin. With the help of his seven children, Mr. Martin operated as a photojournalist for the local newspaper and documented daily life in Vigo County. Frank Martin died in 1933 upon which his sons Kenneth and WIllard took over the family business. Kenneth who managed the commercial matters of the business retired in 1968. Willard oversaw the photography matters and closed the shop upon his retirement in 1976. From the descripti...
